The Data Value Based Analytics leader is responsible for ensuring delivery of evidence-based data and information to define, measure, and report clinical quality, utilization, and financial measures related to population health value based programs. The position oversees the development and management of quantitative analysis to provide the information necessary to succeed in a value based model of care. The position is responsible for providing the team with the tools and skills necessary to analyze comprehensive measurable clinical quality and financial data to support the organization’s transformation to value based healthcare. The VP is also responsible for analyzing and recommending how the organization accepts increasing risk to manage populations in a sustainable model.
- Education: Master’s degree in Epidemiology, Statistics, Biostatistics, or Health Administration strongly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum, seven years’ experience in a healthcare organization performing data analysis support. Three to five years of management or supervisory experience.
- Additional skills required: Strong understanding of database technologies and concepts: relational database modeling/design, data extraction and loading, database administration, data validation/quality control. Proficiency in analytical/statistical reporting and Business Intelligence tools (i.e., Excel, MS Access, Crystal Reports, Business Objects, SAS). Strong understanding of payor environments and how to create risk arrangements and create plan designs in a value based mode of care. Experience working with business customers to define data and functional requirements. Ability to communicate well and present findings verbally and in writing. Ability to support multiple assignments, shift priorities in accordance with need and maintain confidentially of sensitive information.
