Job Summary:

 Develops and maintains a thorough understanding of the Novant Health Brand and promotes this brand in all interactions with family, team members, patients, the community as well as the national venue in conferences and other interactions outside the organization. Strategically leads system change anchored in our mission, vision, values and promise.  Forms strong business partnerships across the organization strategizing on ways to help improve processes.  Through these partnerships, actively listens to new ideas and learns to think outside the norm, sharing ideas and showing courage to make changes.

Directs and implements the necessary controls and procedures to cost effectively protect information system assets from intentional or inadvertent modification, disclosure or destruction.  Participates in audits to continue to validate policies and procedures are followed as written. Provides guidance and direction for the physical protection of information systems assets to other functional units.  Assigns work to subordinates, monitors performance and conducts performance appraisals.  Interviews and makes recommendations for additional staff.  Directs enterprise-wide disaster recovery policies and procedures.

Responsible for applications systems implementation, maintenance and support activities across the enterprise. 


  • Education: Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred. Experience: Minimum five years demonstrated management experience required.
