The service line leader for the Novant Health Heart and Vascular Institute has the responsibility of leading a portfolio of programs, geographic growth across submarkets, and clinic and acute operations. The scope of responsibility across the Greater Winston-Salem market includes $46M in contribution margin, 18 clinic locations, 40 physician partners, 4 Novant Health acute care facilities with heart and vascular services, direct reporting relationship through organizational structure for 200 FTE’s and matrix reporting relationship for an additional 460 FTE’s in partnership with nursing.
The service line leader will participate in the development and implementation of Novant Health’s vision for providing patient care consistent with the health system’s mission, goals, values and strategic plan. Collaborate with organizational leaders and manage interdependencies across service lines, facilities and medical group to design and provide strategic direction, service enhancements and expansion, program development, and community engagement initiatives. Provide direction and oversight for the establishment and execution of strategic and operational plans to include marketing, quality measures, standards of practice, and regulatory and accreditation. Participate with leaders from the medical staff, administration, and clinical areas in planning, prioritizing, promoting and conducting organization-wide performance assessment and improvement activities. Manage human experience initiatives. Holds accountability for service line operation and financial performance with Physician Executive.
- Education: Bachelor's degree required. Bachelor’s degree in healthcare related field preferred. Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience:Minimum of three years leadership experience required. Leadership in healthcare setting preferred.
